| Aims: |
In 1985 the State Government announced a joint restoration program for the Royal Engineers Building in Sullivans Cove, Hobart. Both the Government and the Institute of Engineers, Australia would finance the restoration. This was followed up by an application for a National Trust Restoration Appeal to contribute to the restoration project. The application was approved. |

A simple yet impressive Tudor style institute building for the Royal Engineers.
Two storey stone Tudoresque building. Projecting gables with two storey bay windows with baluster to false terrace over iron roof. Grouped 8 pane windows in bays, 12 pane at rear. |
